Hi!  I’ve always written poetry.  You probably have, too.  Hooray for us!

I am beyond proud that many of my poems, including”When Mom Plays Just for Me” appear on Children’s Poet Laureate Kenn Nesbitt’s homepage

Did you know that every Friday is Poetry Friday in the blogosphere?  I blog every other Friday at www.teachingauthors.com and try to include my own or others’ poems in each post.

Here are some interviews about my poetry.

Thanks to Sylvia Vardell for posting Chris Alello’s animals-in-the-bathtub video of one of my poems in the The Poetry Friday Anthology for Science (Teacher’s Edition): Poems for the School Year Integrating Science, Reading, and Language Arts

I am honored to be a seven-time winner of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators Magazine Merit Award for Poetry (1999: Winner; 2001: Honor;
2002: Letter of Merit; 2004: Winner; 2006: Letter of Merit; 2008: Letter of Merit; 2010: Honor)

And I was absolutely thrilled to be invited to write a story-poem as part of a four-part story published in Cricket Magazine’s 25th Anniversary Issue—yay, Cricket!

You’ll find stories and seventeen of my poems on my award-winning CD/MP3
…and at $5, you can’t beat the price!

The CD won the National Parenting Publications Awards (NAPPA)
Gold Medal for Storytelling.

Speaking of poetry, you’ve gotta admit there’s a certain poetry in this meet-up…
